Yokohama Pneumatic Fenders
Yokohama-type pneumatic fenders are floating, air-filled rubber fenders that absorb berthing energy while keeping reaction force and hull pressure low. They are the standard choice for ship-to-ship transfers and are widely used wherever large vessels berth or lie alongside one another.
Typical uses:
- Ship-to-ship (STS) cargo and bunker transfers
- Berthing large vessels at quays and jetties
- Tankers, bulk carriers and offshore support vessels
- Temporary or additional protection at a berth
Fender sizes and quantities are confirmed on request, according to the vessels involved and the operation planned.
Gangways
Safe access between ship and shore, or between two vessels, is essential to every port call. We supply gangways for rent to give crew, surveyors, authorities, contractors and passengers secure access to the vessel.
Typical uses:
- Ship-to-shore access where the vessel’s own accommodation ladder is unsuitable
- Access between vessels during ship-to-ship operations
- Crew changes, surveys, inspections and repair works
- Cruise and passenger vessels
Gangway type and length are confirmed on request, according to the vessel, the berth and the operation.
